My journey with padel began in 2001 in Barcelona, where I witnessed its remarkable ability to transform tennis clubs and, over time, reimagine spaces of all kinds. That experience shaped my approach to racquet sports and sparked a vision to bring padel to the U.S. in a way that preserves its essence while elevating the experience.

Miguel Coelho
Miguel combines an academic foundation in architecture and design with over 20 years of leadership in the racquet sports industry. With a Master of Architecture (Oporto), an MFA in Design (Barcelona), and ongoing PhD research in Arizona, Miguel brings a unique blend of technical expertise, creativity, and strategic vision to every project.
Drawing on his experience as a Director of Racquet Sports, Miguel has successfully designed and implemented innovative business models and programs in Portugal, Spain, and the U.S. His background also includes corporate training for iconic luxury brands like Leica, honing his ability to create sophisticated, customer-focused solutions.
Miguel’s passion lies in crafting exceptional spaces and experiences, blending design, sport, and sustainability to redefine the future of racquet sports.
Américo Castro
Américo brings over 30 years of distinguished legal expertise and international business acumen to AMPX. His career spans diverse markets, including Portugal, Spain, and Brazil, where he has played a pivotal role in shaping commercial strategies and guiding complex mergers and acquisitions.
A seasoned investor with a focus on real estate, manufacturing, and technology, Américo has a proven track record of identifying and driving opportunities that create lasting value. His leadership extends beyond business, with board positions in esteemed cultural institutions and sports organizations, reflecting his commitment to fostering growth and community impact.
